Miley Cyrus - 2025 - Something Beautiful
When an artist puts a lot of thought and effort into what they hope might be their magnum opus only for it to be made unlistenable by those in charge of the mastering. Even after stripping away the applied 5dB mastering compression, the album is still relatively loud enough by today's standards, so why completely obliterated the dynamics?

It is a disgrace, but it seems like the industry, even audio engineers, don't see/hear the problem. No musical morals, nor integrity, in the modern music scene. But then I don't listen to Cyrus anyway & that's only partly because of the earbleeding insult to my appreciation of music. Whenever I hear this sort of thing I immediately turn it off & go elsewhere.
