What our view is on copyright law and what we do...
A lot is written about Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) but for the record HDDAP fully endorse the support of artists an their rights.
So why do HDDAP remaster existing productions and what is our gain?
Quite simply we love the music of the artists and we "fan remaster" for ourselves and a few friends that also appreciate the alternative approach to professional mastering.
In financial terms; nothing. We only remaster content which we have purchased or has been supplied to us as a request to improve or move the sound to a different direction or experience.
In musical or sound terms, everything. We just enjoy the music and the sound of good music.
We just believe that we can sound better than most professional masters.
It's not a big deal, hearing is believing. But unless folks can either provide details of ownership/purchase we do not share our work.
